Assurity Life Selects Fiserv To Support Quick-to-Market Product Deployment

Assurity Life Insurance Company, based in Lincoln, NE, has selected Life Portraits Enterprise Solution (ES) from Fiserv Insurance Solutions, a Microsoft Insurance Value Chain Partner, for sales illustrations including the quick launch of a complex product.

Assurity focuses on life, disability income, critical illness, long-term care and hospital indemnity insurance, annuities and retirement plans for individuals and small businesses. Life Portraits ES gives Assurity life insurance agents everywhere – whether in the field or the home office – access to mission critical business processes for policy placement in a completely electronic environment. Agents can sell, transact, and place business from anywhere with improved accuracy and in less time. Its open architecture also allows for flexibility as the market changes.

“Assurity Life Insurance Company has an immediate need for a system to support a complex product with a rapid time-to-market,” said Dennis Pfiffner, senior vice president, life operations for Life Portraits ES. He said that Assurity selected Fiserv Insurance Solutions to not only fulfill that product need, but also to support other products, gradually adding all individual life and health products in phases.

Life Portraits ES’s main features include needs analysis, which gathers personal and financial data on clients’ needs; product illustrations, which allow agents to generate illustrations based on specific targets or other criteria and shape products to fit client requirements; electronic applications and forms, to improve straight-through processing; and platform options, to allow clients to shift between Internet and desktop usage.

We’re very excited about the opportunity to work with Fiserv Insurance Solutions,” said Susie Keisler-Munro, senior vice president, chief of operations. “They have done a great job in creating a complete solution to meet Assurity’s needs for our new illustration software.”
