National Bank & Trust Taps Windows Server 2008 for Security and Remote Connectivity

Wilmington, OH-based National Bank and Trust tapped Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Enterprise for two new servers it deployed to improve the firm’s security and remote connectivity. The new servers were needed because remote network users whose computers weren’t totally secure couldn’t connect to the bank’s network while third-party vendors or auditors were working on-site.

State Housing Agency Cuts Mortgage Processing Time 67 Percent With New System

The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) has cut the published review time for its loans by 67 percent and new solutions and enhancements are produced 70 percent faster since the agency migrated to a custom solution from Microsoft Gold Certified partner Captaris. The CHFA solution, based on the Captaris Workflow product, is called Stars, and it enables CHFA to handle a 30 percent increase in loan volume without increasing staff. The agency has also seen an increase in the quality of those loans by 300 percent.
