Liberty Mutual Agency Markets, one of the four strategic business units of Liberty Mutual Group, is offering agents real-time access to auto, home and package rates through Rackley Solutions’ SETWrite, becoming the first carrier to offer package rates through the system.
Package rates allow agents to offer a deal when home and auto rates are purchased together. They have been getting more attention as insurance advice Web sites have increasingly recommended that consumers seek them out.
The “package” functionality was created at Liberty’s request and as a result of the company’s ability to provide a real-time package response, said Jeri Dunnivant, marketing manager for Rackley Solutions. Gary R. Gregg, president of Liberty Mutual Agency Markets, said being first on the system with package rates “demonstrates our commitment to providing agents with services that make us easy and efficient to work with.”
“We will continue to listen to our agents and respond with the technology enhancements they need so we continue to be a preferred carrier,” Gregg said.
Liberty Mutual Agency Markets includes nine regional property and casualty insurance companies that concentrate on small- to mid-size commercial and personal lines markets. The companies distribute their products and services through independent agents and brokers.
SETWrite is a Web application built on the Microsoft.NET Framework. It makes it easier for independent agents to write more business by accessing rates from and submitting data to multiple carriers in real-time with a Single Entry Transaction. The idea behind it is to give agents a secure, single sign-on to a complete process and to help them avoid having to access multiple company Web sites. Carriers get a simplified workflow and a preferred selling position in the independent channel.
