London Stock Exchange Upgrades Hardware Supporting Microsoft-Based Infolect

The London Stock Exchange has selected 100 scalable HP ProLiant Servers to be distributed around three sites in London to support the exchange’s Microsoft-based Infolect real-time data delivery system.
 
Based on the Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft SQL Server, Infolect was broadcasting more than 10 million messages a day with a total of 97,000 terminals receiving real-time exchange market data at the completion of the first phase of its launch last October. Currently, Infolect has a data latency of only two milliseconds and broadcasts 20 million messages a day to more than 100,000 terminals in more than 100 countries.

BankAtlantic Increases Efficiency With New Document Repository and Flood Certification System

BankAtlantic has dramatically improved efficiency through a new document repository, and an automated flood certification system that replaced a manual process that sometimes took as long as a week.

What’s more, the bank was able to acquire the technology and training to complete the two separate projects in part through renewing its Enterprise Agreement with the Microsoft Volume Licensing Program, amortizing payments over three years and taking advantage of training and consulting credits.

Assurant Health Portal Increases Revenue and Agent Productivity

A .NET-based portal built jointly by Assurant Health and Capgemini has increased revenue and agent productivity at the Milwaukee-based health insurer, while at the same time helping the company trim operating costs. The portal, called the Electronic Agent Sales Experience or EASE, was developed to drive business by giving the company’s 200,000 independent agents online tools that would improve their efficiency.
